In this month of thanks come here daily for scripture and inspiration.
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh.
~ Ecclesiastes 3:1-4
Whether it's the sound of children laughing, or the sound of good friends sharing old memories, or simply laughter at your own foolishness, laughter is a gift from God.
It's often been said that "laughter is the best medicine." Charles Dickens wrote in A Christmas Carol, “There is nothing in the world so irresistibly contagious as laughter and good humor.”
He will yet fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy.
~ Job 8:21
“If we couldn't laugh we would all go insane.”
~ Robert Frost
Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.”
~ Psalm 126:2
