3-Year-Old Lucy patiently awaits a New Home

The following article is part of an ongoing effort to help homeless dogs in and around Toronto/Hamilton area find suitable and loving homes. Sometimes, the need extends beyond that area. Currently, the need is great but the homes are few. Your help is desperately needed.

Milton Canine Rescue of Milton, Ontario would like to introduce you to Lucy, a Shih Tzu/Cairn Terrier mix.

According to rescue staff, Lucy lost her home when her owner fell ill. She is just 3 years old and a “very sweet” girl. She enjoys going for walks and for rides in the car. Since she is still young, Lucy loves to play and likes her toys.

Since she is part Cairn Terrier, she does shed, so she would not be good for anyone who suffers allergies. However, she’s a good girl, who would fair well in a home or apartment. She has lived with cats and dogs, and got along with them well.

Although she is not crate-trained, she does not make messes when left alone in a home. She loves attention and is very friendly to everyone but stays closest to her primary caregiver. She is spayed, housetrained and up-to-date on her routine shots.

If you would like more information or are interested in adopting Lucy, email nicmoore@yahoo.com and put ‘Pet Inquiry: Lucy PFId#25465571’ in the subject line.
