Last night Kayleigh's friends and family held a candlelight vigil for her.

Kayleigh Slusher's grandfather is beside himself with grief and cannot believe his granddaughter was the victim and that it is his own daughter who is being accused of murdering her.

He told press:

"You couldn't imagine what I am going through. The proudest moment of my life is gone forever and there is nothing we can do or say that is going to bring her back," said John Kreuger, Kayleigh's grandfather.

The community has been offering their support and sympathy to the family and and keeping them in their prayers.

San Francisco resident, Katie Adler, says "My whole church is praying for the family. This will not be something they can easily get over. A death like this is like a pain that never goes away."

A police spokesperson told press that Kayleigh's mother and boyfriend are both known users of meth and marijuana.

The police, according to ABC 7 Local News had already been at the apartment back on January 27th because neighbors had called them, saying they heard fighting. To that charge, the couple said it was nothing more than a disagreement.

As of now, an autopsy is being performed and it seems that there has been blunt for trauma and possibly sexual abuse as well.
