You can take one basic recipe and make it 3 different ways.

  1. Fruit parfait in individual glasses
  2. 2 layer fruit and cream dessert
  3. 3 layer fruit and cream dessert

Ingredients:

  • 1 package cream cheese
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tub cool whip
  • 1 can pie filling of your choice

Optional:

  • ¾ cup graham crumbs
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted

For fruit parfaits in individual glasses:

  • Mix together cheese and sugar with mixer.
  • Fold in cool whip.
  • In 4 glasses, layer cheese mixture then fruit. You should get 3 to 4 layers per glass.

For 2 layer fruit and cream dessert:

  • Mix together cheese and sugar with mixer.
  • Fold in cool whip.
  • Spread ½ of the cheese mixture into an 8x8 baking dish.
  • Spoon in pie filling.
  • Top with remaining cheese mixture.

For 3 layer fruit and cream dessert:

  • In a bowl, combine graham crumbs, sugar and melted butter. Mix well.
  • Press crumb mixture into an 8x8 baking dish.
  • Mix together cheese and sugar with mixer.
  • Fold in cool whip.
  • Spoon in pie filling over crust.
  • Top with cheese mixture.

After preparing dessert, cover with plastic wrap or lid and place in refrigerator until ready to serve.
