Washington State is continuing to grow in the wine tourism industry as more and more wineries pop up each year producing the big bold reds it is known for. With the competition rising among wineries to attract visitors to their wineries, the need to offer a different and unique experience for wine lovers is becoming necessary. A select few have taken the leap and are now bringing tasty dining options to enjoy with your favorite variety of wine.

Located in the Southeastern corner of Washington State lies the Tri-Cities. Three cities separated by the merging of the Yakima, Snake and Columbia River. Nestled here you will find over twenty wineries and six wine bars. Three of these wineries are now serving up top notch dining to add to your experience.

Tagaris Winery: Taverna Tagaris

Located just off I-182 in Richland, Tavera Tagaris is a local favorite happy hour hot spot. With spectacular patio dining or intimate indoor dining, the atmosphere is both relaxed yet elegant. Order small plate tapas or full gourmet dinners ranging from flatbreads to bison steak. Whether you visit for lunch or dinner, you are sure to love every bite.

Friday and Saturday nights, you can enjoy live bands and fire pits aside the large fountain under the lights on the Patio Kouzina during the summer months which make this a must visit winery for any wine and food lover.

Bookwalter Winery: J Bistro

Settled next door to Taverna Tagaris you will find Bookwalter Winery, equally as busy on any given night. J Bistro is offering up a farm to table experience that showcases the freshest flavors of the region. Start with favorite dishes such as Washington Apple Salad or Tomato Bisque. Follow up with fresh Columbia River Steelhead or a a delicious Vineyard Burger featuring a fabulous Cabernet Jelly.

Not only will you enjoy the mouthwatering food selections, you can pair them all with award winning wines in a comfortable and casual atmosphere.

Gordon Brothers Winery: Gordon Brothers Wine Bar

Just off of I-182 near Pasco, tucked into a corner of a strip mall is the new Gordon Brothers Wine Bar. Once you step foot inside, you forget where you are and are taken away to an intimate space to relax with friends.

On the menu you will find a wonderful selection of small plates and delectable dinners. Keep your eyes open for special discounts on select wine purchases throughout the week and watch for fun events like ladies night, hands on sushi classes and painting classes.

The wine bar even has a separate small space to be reserved for private parties and tastings.

No matter which of these spectacular wineries you choose to feast, no doubt, you will enjoy every last bite.
