3 things to put on your Charlotte preschooler before going into the snow

On Feb. 16, 2013, an unexpected accumulation of up to 3.5 inches of snow blanketed the Charlotte area. Charlotte preschoolers were seen playing in the snow on playgrounds and in neighborhoods.
With cold temperatures starting at 21 degrees(F), the snow would be slow in melting and Feb. 17 proved to be another day for Charlotte preschoolers to play in the snow.
Parents should exercise caution before sending preschoolers out into the frigid air to play in the wet snow. Most heat escapes through the child’s head, so a hat should be worn.
Children will want to make snowballs and build snowmen and snow forts, so gloves will be needed to keep hands from getting frostbitten.
Finally, aside from all the undergarments and layers under the jackets and snow pants, preschoolers will need a good waterproof pair of snow boots to keep feet dry and warm, along with a pair of warm socks.
With the proper clothing, preschoolers should enjoy their day in the snow.
