There were 3 teens killed in an Indiana crash on Thur., March 7 after six youth drove away in two separate trucks from Hopewell Church, who was hosting the Future Farmers of America event in Ripley County that day, according to the Epoch Times.
The 3 teens killed were all students of South Ripley High School, with two victims of the crash--Timothy C. Bowman, 17, and Jacob Vogel, 18--in the F250 red truck, which was broadsided by a white Dodge Ram 3500 truck. That truck was carrying fellow victim Samantha Hanson, 18, and three other passengers.
Three other students, all occupants of the white truck, lived but they suffered injuries, including the driver of the Dodge Ram truck, 17-year-old Thomas Crawford.
All six students left the FFA event prematurely, despite gaining school permission to attend the all-day scheduled activity, but police are unsure at this time why. And it has been determined that the crash occurred shortly after 10 a.m.
Both drivers ran a four-way stop according to police, who say that the red truck was halfway through the intersection when the white truck broadsided it according to ABC News.
Photos of the accident can be viewed above, and video footage showing the extent of the wreckage of both vehicles, as well as more news comments by local authorities can be seen in the video shown directly below.
