Three teens and one man were arrested of shooting and killing a 51-year-old man during a home invasion last year in Greenville County.
Ms. Mercedes Nykisha Adams, 17; Mr. Muniashia Harper, 19; Mr. Brandon Dashun Adams, 19, and Mr. Michael Antonio Anderson, 22, were charged with murder and criminal conspiracy, the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday.
Mr. Adams and Mr. Harper were also charged with kidnapping, first-degree burglary, armed robbery and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, the sheriff's spokeswoman Master Deputy Laura Campbell said.
On Dec. 11, deputies responded to 1 Lanford Drive in reference to a disturbance at an apartment complex, Deputy Campbell said.
Once at the apartment, investigators discovered Mr. Joseph Crite dead inside.
Investigators later determined that four people went to the apartment to commit a robbery; and two of them entered the apartment armed with at least one firearm, she said.
“During the robbery, the victim was held at gunpoint inside the apartment and was ultimately shot numerous times resulting in his death,” Deputy Campbell said.
Upon their arrest all four suspects were taken to the Greenville County Detention Center where they are currently being held without bond.
