In shocking, breaking news this morning, it was learned that the black suspects in the stabbing death of Tevin Geike, a white JBLM Soldier, were in fact, Soldiers themselves; three of whom have been arrested on first degree murder charges.
There was a break in the case when an unnamed Soldier on base went to his sergeant after he learned that a fellow Soldier, with wounds on his hand, confessed to stabbing someone to death.
Although the innocent, unnamed Soldier initially doubted the story, he did the right thing by taking the story to his superior who immediately confronted the suspect.
In addition to the wounded Soldier, who is black, two other black Soldiers have been arrested in connection with the killing that authorities say was racially motivated.

An aviation operations specialist, Geike was assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2-158th Assault Helicopter Battalion, 16th Combat Aviation Brigade, 7th Infantry Division.
The victim is a native of Summerville, S.C. and joined the military in 2010. He has been at Joint Base Lewis-McChord for more than two years.
