Art has no barriers and is as little tied to geographic boundaries as the air we breathe, so it's no surprise that three artists based in the Seattle area will be exhibiting their work in San Francisco this weekend. Shaun Kardinal, Denis Zimmermann and Devon Kerr will all be taking part in the Mission Arts & Performance Project at the goforaloop gallery on Saturday, April 4 from 6 to 9 pm.
"The Mission Arts & Performance Project is a bi-monthly, multidisciplinary, intercultural community arts event that takes place in the South-East neighborhood of the Mission District of San Francisco."
The goforaloop music and art show, The Coast With the Most, is co-curated by Kaoru Fujita, development manager for goforaloop Gallery & Studios and local Seattle photographer Valentina Vitols. Vitols, who freelance curates for MAPP, plans to bring more Seattle artists to San Francisco in the future. The gallery is located at 1458 San Bruno, by 24th and Potrero.
If you need an excuse to spontaneously escape the wet, gray weather of Seattle this weekend, this would be it.
