It's time once more for the Denver Area Science Fiction Association to present its monthly program at the Book Mall. This meeting is free and open to the public! Three of the authors who have collaborated on the forthcoming shared world anthology, Taurin Tales--J. Alan Erwine, Laura Givens and Ian Brazee-Cannon--will talk about creating a shared world and using Kickstarter to help fund projects.

And if you're in the neighborhood early, why not drop in with DASFA for an informal coffee and chit-chat at Bardo Coffee House at 5:00?

"Scenes That Sizzle" with Lori DeBoer
Sunday, June 22, 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Location TBA to registrants

Writing Coach Lori DeBoer shows you all the elements of writing, how to write a dynamic, memorable scene, including what a scene is (and isn’t), when to write a scene (and when not to), how to structure a scene and the importance of purpose. We’ll look at some examples of scenes that work and discuss what makes a scene stall. This workshop is perfect for both fiction and creative nonfiction writers at any level.

This workshop is open and free to members of the Boulder Writers' Workshop. If you're not a member yet, consider becoming a member for as little as $49 a year. Once you have your membership, you need only register via the EventBrite widget at the bottom of the above-linked event page.
