On Wednesday morning there was more gun violence in the U.S. This time the killings claimed the lives of 3 people in the Denver shooting, according to police reports.
A Yahoo! reports indicate that there were at least 3 people killed in the shootout that occurred in a house in the northeast part of the city, including two children.
Matt Murray, a police lieutenant, said that another child was taken to hospital and police are not looking for a gunman.
"Is there a mass killer or someone running around? At this time we don't believe so," said Police Major Crimes Cmdr. Ron Saunier
On Dec. 18, 2012 , in Weld County, which is also in Colo., a gunman killed three people and then killed himself.
Following that incident, in a shooting in Aurora of Jan. of this year, another man also killed three people and himself.
The pastor of nearby Providence Bible Church gave the following statement about the 3 killed in the Denver shooting and the increasing number of violent gun crimes in the US.
"This is the horror of the whole country. There are all these shootings," he said. "I think it's too much, too much to see innocent people being killed."
As of the time of this report, police are still gathering additional information about the Denver shooting.
