3 items to check for when choosing Android live wallpapers

Android live wallpapers for your cell phone or even your tablet can be entertaining and interactive. It is one of the perks of using Android. Free and paid live wallpapers are plentiful in the Google Play store. However, there are a few things that you should check when considering downloading a live wallpaper.

1. Permissions. When downloading items from Google Play, a pop-up may display asking permission for the item to access certain things on your phone. This can range from network access to your phone or email apps. If the live wallpaper interacts with another app on your phone then this is a given. However, if it is a simple live wallpaper then no special permissions should be necessary.

2. Ads. Many free live wallpapers are ad-supported. This means that ads could pop up on your screen or notification area if you download that wallpaper. Most will explain this in the description of the wallpaper in Google Play, but not all. It is important to check for this if you do not want ads displayed on your phone.

3. Reviews. Checking the reviews from other users for the live wallpaper can be very helpful. If the description does not say the wallpaper is ad-supported often times the reviews will mention it. Reviewers can also let you know if the wallpaper uses a lot of battery, crashes often, or does not offer decent graphics. The number of stars given to any app can be helpful, but reading what other users have to say in the review area is even better.

If you are considering trying out a new live wallpaper for your Android device, it is important to keep these three items in mind.
