Beans. Lentils, kidney, or black eyed peas all are said to bring you joyous blessings throughout the year. Beans are always a healthy option to add your everyday meals. Beans for New Year’s symbolize money, particularly coins. Do you have any beans soaking for dinner?
Fish. Filled with Omega-3s and full of protein, the scales of fish are said to resemble money. Since they swim in schools, they are also known to bring abundance. Tilapia, Salmon, Whiting, are you ready?
Fruit. A healthy sweet choice. Some fruits have been known to bring out certain characteristics. Figs are said to symbolize fertility, pomegranate seeds symbolize prosperity. Many people pop grapes into their mouths at the stroke of midnight to symbolize each month of the year. If you bite down on a bitter one, be sure to pay close attention to that month.
