The 3 hurt in the LA airport shooting report has been updated. On Nov. 1, it was reported that at least seven people have been hurt and one person -- a TSA agent -- was killed when a gunman opened fire in Terminal 3 at LAX Airport. According to NBC Los Angeles, a man took a rifle out of his bag and began shooting around the terminal. He killed a TSA agent and wounded three others before firing random shots inside the airport.
"He walked to Terminal 3, pulled an assault rifle out of a bag and opened fire in the terminal. He went into the screening area, past screeners and continued shooting into the airport itself (sic)," said Patrick Gannon, the chief of police at LAX.
The 3 hurt in the LA airport shooting are confirmed to be at the hospital. Details about the other four who have been reported injured have not been released. "A spokesperson for UCLA Medical Center confirmed that one victim was hospitalized in critical condition and two were in fair condition at mid-day. It was not immediately clear whether the gunman was among the patients at UCLA Medical Center," NBC Los Angeles reports.
Everything is said to be under control at LAX at this time although the airport is not up and running just yet. Streets around the airport have been closed and many flights have been delayed if not canceled.
The 3 hurt in the LA airport shooting were all shot by one man -- authorities say that the gunman acted alone. A motive has not been revealed.
