3 Great websites for Chicago kids' activities

As home-schoolers we know there will be days when no one wants to sit at a desk. Here are 3 websites that offer lots to do in the Chicagoland area for home-schoolers and non-home-schoolers alike.
1) Chicago Parent-This website has been a mainstay in Chicago. They have a magazine as well, that can be found in most public libraries. Their articles include such things as: Where to eat with kids, Museums for the pint-sized crowded and articles on arts and crafts. They have weekly and monthly calendars of events so you can be go on spur of the moment adventures or planned outings. They also offer coupons and discounts.
2) Red Tricycle-Chicago-This is a newcomer to the Chicago area. They hit our Lake Michigan shores on March 21st. They offer such advice as to where to find Fitness Classes that welcome your kids, to Free storytelling hours, to kid friendly recipes. Like them on Facebook and you can get a daily idea of how you can supplement your at home curriculum.
3) Timeout Chicago Kids-If you haven’t heard about Time-Out Chicago then it’s to get on-board. Their magazine and website is geared towards restaurant, movie, theater and music reviews. They have the newest and latest week-by-week. And their website Timeout Chicago kids has the same great information, just for the smaller members of the family. They highlight restaurants that are kid friendly as well as current theater and museum exhibits. They also have music ideas for the kids.

So whether the kids or you have Spring Fever now is the time to get on these websites and find some activities to add to your at home curriculum.
