Valentine's Day is right around the corner. There is no need to go out and spend a fortune when you can make some of these desserts at home instead. The included video will show you how to make heart shaped cream cookies using four simple ingredients. Believe it or not, it really is an easy recipe to make despite it being a recipe from Martha Stewart!
You can also bake up a batch of brownies and cut them into heart shapes with a cookie cutter. Then frosting them with pink or white frosting and adding sprinkles. These would be a great snack for the kids to help with.
Berries and Cream Rice Krispies Pops
- 3 TBS butter
- 1 10 oz package of mini marshmallows
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 6 cups Rice Krispies
- 8 oz of vanilla flavor candy coating
- 6 oz red candy melts
- red sprinkles
In a large saucepan, melt butter. Add marshmallows, continuously stirring until they are melted. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Add Rice Krispies until blended. Press into a 13x9 inch buttered pan, let cool one hour. Cut up with a heart shaped cookie cutter and put on a lollipop stick.
In a microwave safe bowl, combine the candy melts and candy coating. Microwave on high for 30 seconds at a time until melted, stirring until smooth. Dip your heart shaped Krispie pops into chocolate mixture to coat and then add sprinkles if desired.
