3 Doors Down bassist Todd Harrell was found slumped over the steering wheel while in the middle of an intersection, giving cops concerns that he may be driving impaired. This would be a second DUI arrest for Harrell as the bassist is facing the charge vehicular homicide after clipping a truck in April, resulting in the driver dying.
Harrell was charged in April with being under the influence when he collided into the truck and sending it down a an embankment. This accident left the driver of the truck dead, according to CNN News on Feb 19. The case is still pending.
For last night's charge the police statement was released today saying that Harrell was found stopped in a D’lberville, Mississippi and slumped over the steering wheel. He was arrested, which makes this his second offense. The charges in the vehicular homicide case stem from an accident in Nashville, Tennessee.
Harrell is one of the founding members of 3 Doors Down. One of the groups more famous tunes is “Kryptonite” but it had quite a few hits like “When I’m Gone,” and “Here without You.” The group formed in 1994 out of Escatawpa, Mississippi. Before they were discovered at a music showcase in NYC, the band toured regionally.
