It has been a long year and a half but it is happening and it is happening next week in Connecticut. Filming will once again begin for the beloved daytime drama, All My Children. Even though there have been delays, Prospect Park finally got it together and are keeping their promise and making it happen.
Jill Larson (Opal) has made it her personal mission to keep the viewers up to date day by day as the results of the online revolution and mission to bring back All My Children comes full circle and to fruition.
Next week, Monday and just three days from the day I am writing this piece, the cast and crew of All My Children will enter the studio and begin again, but not from where they left off. What I understand, they will be starting off from a point somewhere in the future from where they left off kicking it off from current day.
I have a feeling we will be seeing moments in time in the form of flashbacks from what may have or could have happened in the past year and a half where we have not been privy to the day to day life in Pine Valley. As I type these words and speak to friends and family members about the cast arriving at work on Monday morning, February 25th to film the first new episode of All My Children, I find myself not only choking up but the tears are falling from my eyes.
Tears of pure joy and excitement at the fact that my beloved soap is being resurrected to live once again just like so many of the characters that have gotten killed off and brought back to life in one way or another. Anything is possible in the world of daytime drama and that includes a show that was given a death sentence, that died and ceased to exist in front of millions of viewers, aired it’s last episode and disappeared from the viewing audience for almost two years and is now coming back to life. Jill Larson has taken us behind the scenes to witness firsthand the resuscitation by shooting little YouTube Video’s.
We have seen the studio and have watched the crew put up walls, and today she has shown us the rack of colorful clothing that Opal will be wearing next week. I want to write a very long and heartfelt article on the rebirth of All My Children but I am short on time today.
