Rochester, N.Y. ( Peter H. Scrooby ) - Three Teen Girls have come forth in last Three days with Three reports of attempted abductions in the Rochester, N.Y. area.
The first attempted abduction occurred Monday night in the small Town of Marion, N.Y. located 24 miles from Rochester, NY. A young female teen was walking on Mill Street in the town when a man called the teen to his car asking if she needed a ride. After the teen stated no to the offer of a ride the suspect then reached out of the car grabbing the teen by the forearm, the teen broke free of the man's grip and fled home reporting it to her parents. The teen girl in this incident could not describe the make, model only saying it was a smaller dark vehicle and was unable to give a description of the suspect other than a black hoodie and ripped jeans.
In the Town of Ontario, N.Y. located 23 miles from Rochester, N.Y. and only 10 miles from the Town of Marion, N.Y. the second attempted abduction came Tuesday evening at 1850 Ridge Rd in the parking lot of the Ontario Public Library. The teen girl in this incident said she was walking when a white car driven by a man pulled in the parking lot and started to follow her. The man the asked her for help and if she knew the time. The teen never made contact with the suspect as she never approached the vehicle in this case. Once again the suspect description or vehicle description other than white car was not available.
The third incident took place in the Town of Greece, N.Y. at 1436 West Ridge Rd in the Rite Aid parking lot located 7 miles from Rochester, N.Y. and roughly 30 miles from the above mentioned towns . A teen girl reported that while jogging a man pulled beside in his car and asked her two separate times to "Get in the car". When the suspect caught a view of the girls cellphone as she pulled it out, he then fled in the car. The description of the suspect giving by the teen in this incident is that of a white male 40 to 50 years of age, graying hair and clean shaven. The car in this case was reported as a newer in model and make, four door sedan silver in color.
New York State Police, Greece Town Police and Wayne County Sheriffs are investigating but do not believe the three cases are related.
