Since I love Alfredo dishes, I had to return to Olive garden to try their new special. A three course Alfredo dinner. I visited their Citadel Crossing location, 513 N. Academy Blvd. (719)591-1210.
As with all entrées you start out with unlimited breadsticks, and house salad or soup. Then you have four different Alfredo choices:
- Grilled Chicken with Broccoli. It comes with tender, juicy strips of grilled white chicken breast, served atop cauatappi pasta tossed with a thick creamy made from scratch Alfredo sauce, topped with fresh pieces of broccoli florets, with a dash of garlic for $11.99. (It’s absolutely delicious.)
- Shrimp Caprese. This has sautéed shrimp topped with three cheeses and bucatin pasta, homemade Alfredo, seasoned tomatoes, melted mozzarella and fresh basil for $12.99.
- Mezzaluna Ravioli with Mushroom Alfredo. Served with crescent shaped ravioli stuffed with four Italian cheeses, , topped with a mushroom Alfredo sauce for $12.99. (Can’t wait to try this one.)
- Grilled Chicken with Roasted Garlic Alfredo. Sliced grilled white chicken and roasted garlic cloves over giant rigatoni pasta, in a thick, rich, creamy Alfredo sauce for $11.99. (This dish is a mouth-watering delight.)
Finish your meal off with your choice of heavenly deserts (included). Chocolate Mousse Cake, or any choice of Dolcini. Olive Garden’s Dolcini was inspired by various pastry shops throughout Italy. It is a mini treat with cake, mousse, pastry creams, and berries in laired decadent perfection that will leave you craving more.
When visiting the Citadel Crossing location in the early evening, ask for Geneva. She’ll take good care you. If you don’t have time to dine-in, you can place your order online. That way it will be ready when you arrive.
