This weekend, join the Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces as they celebrate the second annual Old Fourth Ward Arts Festival. The two-day festival (Saturday, June 28 and Sunday, June 29, 2014) will once again be held in Atlanta’s picturesque Historic Fourth Ward Park that is conveniently located along the bustling Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail. Named “Best New Event” by the Southeast Festivals and Events Association, festival goers are invited to explore fabulous works of art while enjoying live music in the amphitheater, local food vendors, drinks, a children’s area, hands-on art demonstrations, games, and much more! The event is free, open to all ages and dogs are welcome.

In addition to 200 local and regional artists and artisans, including photographers Rob Simmons and Chris Mason and painters Whitney Summerford and Kristin Thorson, and a new Binder’s Emerging Artist Pavilion, this year’s festival will feature live acoustic performers throughout the weekend. Festival goers can sit back, relax and enjoy live music from: Nena Dubois; Laughlin; Reckless Mercy; Battlefield Collective; Adam Klein, Faithless Town; SenoritAwesome!, Rachel Wiggins, Chris Stalcup & The Grange, Faithless Town, Truckstop Confidential, and Sabbatical Year. Additionally, Roly Poly, the Genki-to-Go Food Truck, Williamson Bros. BBQ, Yumbii, Sunshine Sammies, King of Pops, Jalapeno Corndog, and The Bubble Tea Truck will be at the event to feed hungry patrons. The Atlanta Sports and Social Club will also be serving up a bevy of games like giant Jenga, Cornhole, and Bear Pong to test the skills of event goers of all ages.

Rich with diversity and one of the most enthusiastic art communities in the Atlanta area, the Old Fourth Ward’s Historic Fourth Ward Park is just off North Avenue, across from the Ponce City Market. We’re encouraging Atlantans to grab their walking shoes, bikes or rollerblades and take the Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail to this year’s event. Cyclists are also invited to store their bikes in the additional bike racks provided by the festival. Visit www.h4wpc.com for more information on the Historic Fourth Ward Park.

About The Atlanta Foundation For Public Spaces:
The Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces, LLC was established in 2005 to support the arts community by operating arts and craft events and festivals in the metro Atlanta, Georgia area. AFFPS was formed to create a way of integrating and encouraging both social interactions and the opportunity for individuals and businesses to obtain cross exposures in marketplaces that they may normally not have. Our festivals, events and markets enjoy diverse social and economic participants. All events are professionally managed and maintained to create a "destination" in which both public and private opportunities for economic growth can be explored. AFFPS works in partnership with the communities and cities in the metro Atlanta area to expand public access to art.
