The 2nd Annual Great Paper Airplane Fly-Off will be at the Pima Air & Space Museum on Saturday, January 26, 2013. The event features three different age brackets for kids ages 6 to 14 to compete in. The Fly-Off begins at 11 a.m.
Up to 200 entries will be allowed for the event. You can register your child online here. Participants and up to four family members will get in free to the museum on the day of the Fly-Off.
The winner for each age category (6 to 8, 9 to 11, and 12 to 14) will be determined based on how far the paper airplane flies. Winners in each of the age categories will each get a $500 savings bond and thier name on the perpetual trophy housed in the Great Paper Airplane Project exhibit.
About the Pima Air & Space Museum: The museum is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the last admittance being at 4pm. November through May admission is $9 for ages 7 to 12, $15.50 for adults ages 13 and up, and $12.75 for Pima County residents as well as Seniors, AAA, and military. The AMARG (Boneyard) tour is an extra $7.
