We think you're near Los Angeles

2nd Annual Boston Local Food Festival this weekend

This Saturday, October 1, 2011, the Sustainable Business Network of Greater Boston  will host their annual Boston Local Food Festival, right near the Children’s Museum in Fort Point Channel. From 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, this free event will offer you the chance to browse at over 100 different vendors and exhibits. You can purchase locally grown food, made with locally sourced ingredients, at prices around $5.

It is a great chance to learn more about Boston area farms and businesses and show your support to them, while also stocking up on delicious foods. Last year over 30,000 people attended and this year even more are predicted to come.  Sponsors involved this year include Olivia’s Organics and Friends of Fort Point Channel. Vendors like Taza Chocolate and Miles Smith Farm will be there as well. There will even be a Local Craft Brewer Tasting held at Daily Catch’s Grotto, plus there will be local music and artwork to enjoy. For a complete list of sponsors, participating vendors, the schedule, and all the details around this event, visit the website or call 617-575-9165.
