On September 28, the Special Entertainment Commission (SEC) of Emmaus will host their second annual bluegrass festival, rain or shine. The event is free to the public, and promises a good time to be had by all. It will be held at the Emmaus Community Park from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm.
Jenae Holtzhafer, a member of the SEC, is looking for volunteers of all ages to help out. If you’d be interested in pitching in (teens, this could count towards high school graduation requirements), please contact the Entertainment commission at EmmausSEC@gmail.com.
Vendors, it’s not too late; they’re looking for you as well! If you’d like to set up a booth for the festivities, contact Jenae at the above email address.
There will be a wide variety of arts and crafts vendors, face painting and other fun things for the kid types to do, and of course, lots of food. As if that wasn’t enough, the Emmaus Main Street Partners are joining in the fun this year with their beer truck. Just like Musikfest, there will be an official beer pavilion.
The following bands will be performing:
10 – 12pm: Big Valley Bluegrass;
12 – 2pm: Blue Mountain Junction;
2 – 4pm: Without a Paddle;
4 – 6pm: Saucony Grass; and
6 – 8pm: Willow Creek.
According to Jenae, “this is our 2nd annual, so we’re really looking forward to an increase in attendance, especially with the partnership of the Emmaus Main Street Partners and their beer truck!”
