According to the simulation, the Miami Heat will win their third consecutive NBA Championship, while “NBA 2K14” cover athlete Lebron James will claim the MVP award.
The Brooklyn Nets ended up with a second place finish in 2K Sports’ simulation, going 62-20, thanks to contributions from the recently acquired duo of Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce, before the Heat eliminated them in the Eastern Conference Finals.
The simulation also predicted healthy seasons for Derrick Rose, Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard. After years of nagging injuries, a reinvigorated Rose will average 26.5 PPG and lead Chicago into the playoffs. Howard apparently will enjoy his time in Houston and help James Harden get the team to a seed in the Western Conference, while Bryant will get the Lakers to .500 and a playoff spot after his Christmas Day return.
"NBA 2K14" is now available on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game will be released on the PlayStation 4 on Nov. 11 and on the Xbox One on Nov. 22.
