The Tampa Bay area has had a lot going on for the past few months. We've had the Gasparilla invasion and parade, followed by the Florida State Fair, then the tasty Strawberry Festival.
This past weekend, the Firestone Grand Prix took to the roads of St. Petersburg with high-speed racing action. There's still plenty more activities lined up on the calendar and this coming weekend is no exception.
For an opportunity to tickle your taste buds, come on down to the 29th Annual Best of Tampa Bay festival being held Saturday, April 5. This tasty culinary fest has a virtual smorgasbord of delectable dishes lined up just waiting to be appreciated. The all-inclusive food fest is the longest running food-a-thon in Tampa. To thoroughly enjoy the talents of creative culinary chefs, you'll need to bring your appetite.
The event is being held at the Straz Center in downtown Tampa and the festivities begin at 7pm. Over 40 of Tampa's tastiest restaurants will be on hand dishing out the goodies. Just a few of the participants include the Columbia Restaurant, Blue Bell Creameries, Dulce Cafe & Bakery, Lindt Chocolates, Kobe Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar, Malio's Prime Steakhouse, Timpano - Italian Chophouse, Miguel's Mexican Seafood & Grill and Schakolad Chocolate Factory.
As you can see from the list, you'll have a range of cultural food and plenty of sweeties for dessert. Along with the food, there will be a full bar complete with wine tastings and luscious craft beers from area microbreweries.
If food and drink wasn't enough, add music and songs to the list with five stages rocking the night away with live music.
You can have all this for the price of an all-inclusive ticket. Price is $65 through April 2. On April 3, tickets go to $80. A deal no matter which way you look at it.
The fundraising festival is designed to entertain while generating funding for the Straz Center so more programs can be made available to all ages. The event is a good cause that results in positive benefits for the Tampa Bay community. Tickets are on sale now, so don't miss out on yet another Tampa tradition.
