The Allegheny Sport, Travel and Outdoor Show kicked-off its 5 day exhibition Wednesday February 13 at the Monroeville Convention Center. It runs through Sunday February 17 and offers everything hunting, fishing, and outdoor related for outdoor enthusiasts in the tri-state area. Adult admission is $10.00 (local McDonald’s restaurants are offering discount admission coupons) and children 12 and under get in for free. The Wild World of Animals Stars
Every year the Outdoor Expo showcases celebrities from the world of outdoors. Television hosts, survival experts, and many of the hosts of your favorite hunting and fishing shows have been mainstays at the February event. This year however, to mix things up there will be a new exhibit featuring celebrities of a four leg variety. Those same wild creatures you’ve seen countless times feature Leno, Letterman, Kimmel and Fallon are schedule to appear at this year’s event. The lists of exotic animals include blue monkeys, spotted leopards, Nile crocodile, and even an albino cobra.
Pan for Gold
Another new exhibit to the event offers kids the chance to test out their prospecting skills in a true-to-life gold panning simulator. Learn pan sluicing techniques that were used by miners back in the 1840’s.
The Snake Pit
