March for the Dream in Sacramento is California's largest march

The largest Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. march in California is in Sacramento, CA and boasts a large crowd of about 28,000 annually.

The annual, March for the Dream is a six mile march, open and free to everyone. Anyone can march but because the event is also a fundraiser, marchers are encouraged to register.

Funds are earned by persons who sponsor marchers and donated, thereafter, to MLK365.

MLK 365 is a non-profit organization that works hard to manifest "the dream" of Dr. King. Emphasis is placed on quality and equality in education amongst other applicable social standards.

The March begins at several locations in North and South Sacramento: Grant High School in North Sacramento, Oak Park Community Center and Sacramento City College.

All marches come together as one at Sacramento City College and head on to the California State Capitol steps onto Sacramento Convention Center.
