This is the last weekend for the Napa Valley Open Studios. It is their 26th annual event showcasing the local artists in their studios. It is meant for the enjoyment of everyone intersted in contemporary arts.
The Napa Valley is a short drive from Sacramento and is a wonder for all who go there, originally a mecca for those needing to get away from the San Francisco environment. It is still a beautiful place to visit, especially in the Fall.
It ahs many advantages to driving for the weekend, cafes, shops, and historical places to visit. It is also home to artists of all kinds. This year those presented in the Open studios are Olivo-Tselentis, Donovan-Nunziata, Ames Dillion, and Weber-Zlomke amongst others. There are more than 84 artists and 54 studios open and available for those willing to take the trip.
September 21-22 and 28-29 2013 are the dates for this years events. Please visit their website for more inforamtion on the free self guided tour. www.napavalleyopenstudios.org
