25th Annual Bug Day

Lake Metroparks 25th annual Bug Day is on Sunday, September 8 from Noon until 4 p.m. This free event offers fun for the whole family. Kids can earn a "Bugology" degree if they complete in at least 5 of the scheduled activities.

Some things planned for the day include:

  • Celebrate arthropods! These “jointed foot” animals are commonly called bugs and include insects, spiders, and even crayfish and lobsters!
  • Bug Bingo
  • Live bugs, exhibits and buggy adventures!
  • Celebrate classic Bug Stories and Songs.
  • Sample some real tasty buglicious treats.
  • Visit the Kevin P. Clinton Wildlife Center and discover which animals depend on bugs for food.
  • Miniature steam train rides from 1 to 3 p.m.
  • Fall Art Show
