25-year-old woman dies on plane from Brazil to Texas

According to Fox 31 Denver, a 25-year-old passenger died on an American Airlines flight from Brazil to North Texas, early Wednesday morning.

The plane was diverted to Houston’s George Bush International Airport to attend to the passenger. The flight was delayed several hours before departure again.

The name of the victim has not been released.

Police detectives said there were no signs of trauma on the woman. An autopsy will be performed. At this point, no foul play is suspected.

A statement from a spokesman for American Airlines said the Boeing 777 with 220 passengers resumed its flight after about a three hour delay.

American Airlines layed off 1400 workers from the Miami airport in September, 2012.

Our prayers go out to the family of this 25-year-old woman who died so suddenly at the beginning of the New Year.
