25 restaurants offer $25 best bets during last half of 2012 Downtown Dining Week

Downtown Syracuse restauranteurs have banded together to promote their restaurants with three-course dinner specials for $25 (or less) during the 2012 AmeriCU Downtown Dining Week(s). This year's event runs from February 15 through Wednesday, Leap Day, February 29. The Dining Week(s) menus do not include beverages, taxes or tips. Some menus do offer a dessert as the third course.

Syracuse Food readers have six days left to try new restaurants and new cuisines, or revisit an old favorite. Sponsored by AmeriCU and the Downtown Committee of Syracuse, Inc., this year's particpating restaurants, by cuisine type, are:

2012's AmeriCU Downtown Dining Week(s) run along side Syracuse Winterfest activities, which end on Sunday, Feb. 26. Other features of Dining Week(s) include half-price admission to the Clinton Square ice rink with weekday receipts from participating restaurants, a free Brew & View movie screening for diners on Feb. 26, and a Facebook photo competition for diners with free gift certificates to participating restaurants. Readers can still upload photos of their Dining Week meals to the Downtown Syracuse Facebook page to compete for the restaurant gift certificates.

2012 Winterfest ends Sunday, AmeriCU Downtown Dining Week(s) wrap up Feb. 29

Al's Wine & Whiskey Lounge hosts this weekend's special Brew & View free screening of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes at 7 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 26. Al's features specialty cocktails along with their Dining Week(s) menu for this event. Brew & View also accepts donations at the door for the upcoming SYRFilmFest'12, a four-day international film festival scheduled for October 11-14, 2012.
