$25 corn dog: Arizona D-backs introduce $25 'D-Bat Dog'

A $25 corn dog will be sold at Chase Field this baseball season -- and it's already gaining popularity on the web. On March 18, ESPN reported that the home of the Arizona Diamondbacks will soon be home to the "D-Bat Dog" -- an 18-inch corn dog filled with yummy goodness and served over a bed of french fries.

"This is really about providing our fans with new options each year, and in the case of some of our larger items, it's really about sharing with the family. We don't have any expectations for the D-Bat, but we'll look forward to seeing if it becomes popular with our fans. Every night for us is a successful night because we offer the most affordable food prices in all of baseball," said team president and CEO Derrick Hall (via ESPN).

The $25 corn dog will be stuffed with "cheddar cheese, jalapenos, and bacon" making it one of the most interesting baseball eats, simply bursting with flavor. For foodies heading to the ball field, $25 might be totally worth it but to many, the price is outrageous. After all, it's just a glorified hotdog, isn't it?

Chase Field will also introduce the Venom Dog -- a footlong habanero sausage topped with black beans, guacamole, pico de gallo, and sour cream. The cost for a Venom Dog? A more affordable $10. Most people are used to spending about $25 - $40 at the field for food and a drink (per person) so some spectators won't bat at eye at the prices. Would you try either?
