20th annual Southwest Indian Art Fair at Arizona State Museum

The 20th Annual Southwest Indian Art Fair will be at the Arizona State Museum on Saturday, February 23 and Sunday, February 24, 2013. This event is from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission to the fair and museum during this event is $10 for adults, $7 for museum members, and free for ages 18 and under and students with valid student ID.

The Southwest Indian Art Fair is a great opportunity to see and learn more about various styles of Southwest Indian art as well as Southwest Indian culture. The event features artist demonstrations, music and dance performances, a silent auction, a Friends of Hubbell live auction, and the opportunity to browse and purchase art from artist booths. The variety of art available for purchase from vendors include pottery, Hopi katsina dolls, paintings, jewelry, baskets, rugs, and blankets.

About the Arizona State Museum: This museum is located on the University of Arizona's campus at 1013 E University Blvd. The Arizona State Museum first opened in 1893 making it the oldest as well as the largest anthropology museum in the Southwest United States. Admission is $5 for ages 18 and up. Admission is free for those under 18 as well as for U of A and PCC students with ID. The museum is open from 10am to 5pm Mondays through Saturdays. It is normally closed on Sundays as well as state and federal holidays.
