Even though consumers won't be able to feast their eyes on the all-new 2015 Cadillac Escalade until October 7th in New York City at an event, the first official peep, via images of the much heralded people hauler have surfaced on its corporate website, GM. The automaker just released two pics of the luxury brand SUV, revealing its new badge and headlight design.
The now fourth generation Escalade will reportedly remain elegant but with an edge. GM hired indie rock photographer and movie director Autumn de Wilde to capture the Escalade's design progression and the final product of artsy images and behind-the-scenes film will be featured at the official unveiling ceremony next month.
As far as deets, GM has not spilled many about the SUV. There is industry talk however, that the Escalade will be offered with a 6.2-liter V-8 that puts out about 420 horses and 450 lb-ft of torque.
Power and heft!
GM has also featured a few videos on YouTube that illustrate the way in which the Escalade's steering wheel is stitched (see video below) and molding a mock-up of a body panel.
The target audiences for the luxury behemoth are probably the same buyers, who would hightail it to a Lincoln dealership in search of a Navigator, or check out a Mercedes-Benz showroom looking to test drive a GL-Class.
The Escalade which is expected to hit showrooms in early spring may very well have a sticker price that is north of $65,000.
So for now, the waiting game, until D-day October 7th!
