The World Tea Expo and the Healthy Beverage Expo will be held in Long Beach, California, May 29-31, 2014. Together these co-located trade shows will fill more than half the hotels in the city and occupy over two 2/3 of the floor space in the Long Beach Convention Center.
The leading conference and trade show for tea, World Tea Expo is 100% focused on premium teas and tea-related products. Since studies done in recent years indicate that tea may be the world's healthiest drink, it only makes sense for it to be located with the Healthy Beverage Expo, a show The Healthy Beverages Expo is about better-for-you drinks that contain healthful ingredients.
According to George Jage, founder and director of The Healthy Beverage Group (formerly World Tea Media) “Moving the World Tea Expo and the Healthy Beverage Expo from Las Vegas to SoCal is a strategic decision that many industry leaders asked us to consider. We're thrilled about the new opportunities and business this will bring attendees and exhibitors, and the Expos will see more 'walk-ins' and 'local traffic' from So Cal, as the area is one of the west coast's most dynamic beverage marketplaces. In addition, Long Beach is the perfect host city with its ideal climate, a charismatic city-center and numerous attractions. We know the tea and healthy beverage community will be excited about the Expos' move and how it positively impacts their participation in the shows and their organizations.”
Jage is quite right is saying moving the Expos to Long Beach is a good business move. Not only does Long Beach have a fabulous convention center and attractions such as the Aquarium of the Pacific and the Queen Mary, it has three different tea rooms that serve afternoon tea, two very popular places to purchase tea beverages, at least two Long Beach-based retailers of premium teas and Long Beach Tea Meetup, a group that gathers periodically to drink and explore tea and its various aspects.
As to the availability of healthy beverages, Long Beach has a wealth of health food stores, juice bars and restaurants that focus on presenting healthy foods and beverages. Many of these places are small independent businesses rather than large chains such as Whole Foods.
All together, the 2014 Expos could well be the best, most exciting Expos so far. For those wishing to attend, registration for both shows opens in mid-January, 2014. Find more information at World Tea Expo and Healthy Beverage Expo.
