2014 Winter Olympics: Luge event schedule

At the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games, the luge events are scheduled to begin on February 8 and conclude on February 13. Luge events include men’s and women’s singles events as well as a doubles event.

In addition, this year a new event will be contested: the luge relay. In this event, men and women will work together in an effort to cross the finish line with the fastest time. The event will kick off with a single female rider, who will hit a pad at the end of the run to release a single male rider. He also will hit the pad at the end of the run to release a set of double lugers. The team with the fastest aggregate score will be awarded the gold medal. The luge event has been contested at world championship events in the past, but this will be the first time luge relay will be held at the Olympic Games.

The events are scheduled to take place at the Sliding Center Sanki. You can find a full Olympic luge event schedule below. All times listed are local Sochi times.
