At the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games, the figure skating events are scheduled to begin on February 6 and conclude on February 20. Figure skating events include men’s and women’s events as well as a brand new team event.
The new team event is comprised of additional skates for some of the top skaters in the world. The programs will be scored in the same manner as the programs in previous Olympic Games. The scores are then combined, and the team with the highest score at the end is awarded the gold medal.
Olympic silver medalists Meryl Davis and Charlie White are perhaps the most recognizable names on the U.S. team. Together, the pair won their silver medal at the 2010 Olympic Games.
The events are scheduled to take place at the Iceberg Skating Palace. You can find a full Olympic figure skating event schedule below. All times listed are local Sochi times.
