2014 Winter Olympic bobsled event schedule

At the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games, the bobsled events are scheduled to begin on February 16 and conclude on February 23. Biathlon events include two-man events, four-man events, and women’s events. The bobsled competitions will be held at the Sanki Sliding Center.

The U.S. men's bobsled team is led by Steven Holcomb, who is a three-time Olympian and defending Olympic gold medalist in the four-man event. Two of Holcomb's 2010 four-man teammates — Curtis Tomasevicz and Justin Olsen — also are part of the 2014 Olympic team. Tomasevicz also will be competing in his third Olympic Games, while Olsen will be making the Olympic trip for the second time.

Lolo Jones is perhaps the most high-profile athlete on the women's team. Jones, a two-time track and field Olympian, made the switch to bobsled following the 2012 Olympic Games. She's not the only summer Olympian on the women's team, though. Lauryn Williams is a three-time track and field Olympian and a track-and-field gold medalist. She also is a member of the 2014 Olympic bobsled team.
