The Wanee Music Festival 2014 lineup is out and worthy of being one of the “must attend” jamband festivals this year taking place Thursday, April 10 through Saturday, April 12. Headlined each year by The Allman Brothers Band, Wanee Music Fest always puts together a string of great music in the setting of Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, FL. This is the festival’s 10th year so attendees can expect big things from Wanee this year.
The Allman Brothers are joined on the lineup by Trey Anastasio Band, Lynrd Skynrd, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Gov’t Mule, Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band, Umphrey’s McGee, Ziggy Marley, Blues Traveler, The Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Hot Tuna Electric, Moe, Rusted Root, Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk (Music of Led Zeppelin), Soulive, Royal Southern Brotherhood, Walter Trout, Rob Garza (of Thievery Corporation), Blind Boys of Alabama, Bobby Lee Rodgers, Melvin Seals & JGB, Futurebirds, Matt Schofield, Break Science, Sean Chambers, and The Yeti Trio.
A three day general admission ticket is $195 plus fees until February 16 (that’s when the price increases). Three nights of primitive camping are available for Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Music will happen all three nights with The Allman Brothers headling Friday and Saturday.
Anyone who has had the pleasure of attending the Wanee Music Festival in years past know it is a laid back environment, complete with hammocks at one of the two main stages. The gathering, both at the stage and at the campsite, tend to be chill with no worries of mosh pits.
Tickets are onsale now for 2014 Wanee Music Festival. Do you plan to go?
