With the cold, snowy weather outside, it’s the perfect time to snuggle up with your love (be it a significant other or your best friend!) and celebrate with a toast to each other. Here’s a compilation of easy to make, at home cocktails for all those lovebirds out there. Happy Valentine's Day! Cheers!

Basil Hayden's® Apple Bubbly by Basil Hayden’s Bourbon

1 part Basil Hayden's® Bourbon

Sparkling Apple Juice

Add Basil Hayden's® Bourbon to a champagne flute and fill the remainder with sparkling apple juice. Garnish with a sliced apple.

Rose Colored Glass by bartender Katie Stipe

.25 oz. Angostura bitters

.75 oz. lemon juice

1 oz. simple syrup

Crémant d’Alsace Rosé

Lemon twist or rose petals for garnish

Shake bitters, lemon juice and simple syrup and strain over ice into a flute or coupe glass. Top off with three ounces Crémant d’Alsace Rose. Garnish with lemon twist or rose petal.

Chandon Hibiscus Romance by Chandon USA

1 Hibiscus flower (wild hibiscus flowers in syrup). Made by the Wild Hibiscus Flower Company of Australia; available at Whole Foods.

½ tbsp syrup from the jar of wild hibiscus flowers

1 small drop of rose water

Chandon Blanc de Noirs

Combine Hibiscus flower, syrup and rose water in a Champagne flute. Top with Chandon Blanc de Noirs and serve immediately.

Cruzan Hot Velvet

1 part Cruzan® Velvet Cinn™ Horchata with Rum

1 part Cruzan® Estate Diamond® Dark Rum

2 parts Hot Chocolate (rich sweetened cocoa recommended)

1 pinch Chili Powder

1 tiny pinch Salt

Combine all ingredients in a sauce pot and whisk briskly until warm. (Alternate use: Use an espresso machine steam wand to bring to temp). Garnish with grated cinnamon.

1 ½ oz. SKYY Infusions Vanilla Bean

½ oz. SKYY Infusions Moscato Grape

¾ oz. Lime Juice

½ oz. Simple Syrup

½ cup Organic Raspberries

Combine all ingredients in a shaker. Fill shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds. Pour into a coupe glass.


1 ½ oz Godiva Chocolate Liqueur

1 ½ oz Frangelico

½ oz Dry White Rum

Chocolate shavings (garnish): Carefully draw a vegetable peeler across the broad surface of a bar of semisweet or milk chocolate. This works best if the chocolate is at room temperature. For narrower curls, use the side of the bar. In a cheater tin, add Godiva Chocolate Liqueur, Frangelico and White Rum. Fill the cheater tin halfway with ice and shake for about 8 seconds. Strain the cocktail into a coupe and garnish with chocolate shavings. Serve.
