2014 U.S. tour dates announced for Dolly Parton Blue Smoke World Tour

Dolly Parton has announced U.S. dates for her “Blue Smoke World Tour.” According to Billboard on Dec. 6, the tour will hit U.S. cities split over two separate treks in 2014.

Back in February, tour dates for the Australian leg of the tour were announced by the country music singer. The new dates will begin in January and more will follow in May. Bookings will span 7 states over 11 days. Most of the dates will be throughout the southeast and southwest parts of the country.

The first date will be Jan. 24 in Rancho Mirage, Calif. before the tour moves to Australia and New Zealand in February. A number of performances are scheduled for Europe as well, wrapping up there on July 11 in Stockholm, Sweden.

The tour is coordinated with the release of the music icon’s 42nd album, “Blue Smoke.” It is the first tour since Parton’s 2011’s “Better Day.”

Parton made this statement about the tour date announcement:

"It’s always great to perform at home in the good ol’ USA. We’re kicking off our Blue Smoke World Tour right here at home. I love traveling all over the world; but it’s true, there’s nothing like home."

  • Jan. 28 - Phoenix, Ariz. - Comerica Theater
  • May 22 - Tulsa, Okla. - Hard Rock Casino
  • May 23 - Tulsa, Okla. - Hard Rock Casino
  • May 25 - Cherokee, N.C. - Harrah’s Cherokee Casino
  • May 27 - Richmond, Ky. - EKU Center For The Arts
  • May 28 - Knoxville, Tenn. - University of Tennessee (Benefiting Dolly’s Imagination Library)
  • May 30 - Thackerville, Okla. - Winstar Casino
  • May 31 - Thackerville, Okla. - Winstar Casino
