A 3/4-mile "D-shaped" oval featuring some of the most exciting night racing on the NASCAR schedule, Richmond International Raceway in Virginia hosts NASCAR racing as well as driving schools and non-racing events. In 2014, the two NASCAR weekends at RIR are April 24th through 26th and September 4th through 6th.
In addition to the track, RIR is part of a 1,000-acre complex that features six permanent buildings for exhibitions and meetings; there are also three outdoor areas, including an amphitheatre, for corporate events and festivals. The Torque Club, overlooking the track, features bars and audio visual screens, and is available for private functions.
Both Richmond NASCAR weekends will feature the Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series, with the September weekend being “One Last Race to Make the Chase.”
Tickets for the April race weekend go on sale January 15th. Beginning with the April 2014 Sprint Cup Series race, all Cup Series tickets for kids 12 and younger will be $25 off the adult price in every grandstand. Find out more about RIR and other Complex events at www.rir.com.
