Formerly known as Laguna Seca Raceway, Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca was built in 1957 in Monterey County, California, and had seen some great racing throughout its 50-plus year history from IMSA GT, GRAND-AM, Trans-Am, Champ Car, MotoGP and the American Le Mans Series among others. In 2014, the 2.238-mile, 11-turn road course will host five major events.
The inaugural season of the TUDOR United Sports Car Championship kicks off the major event schedule, May 2nd through 4th, followed by Ferrari Racing Days, May 16th through 18th. The eni FIM Superbike World Championship returns July 11th through 13th, while the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, featuring the 100th anniversary of Maserati, returns to the track August 14th through 17th. Rounding out the season, the track hosts the SCCA National Championship Runoffs October 10th through 12th.
