The Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas will once again host the United States Grand Prix for the Formula 1 World Championship in 2014. Joining F1 at the state-of-the-art road course are the TUDOR United Sports Car Challenge, MotoGP and ESPN’s X Games.
The Circuit of the Americas is a 20-turn, 3.427-mile road course, the first in the U.S. to be purpose-built for F1. In addition to the track, the facility also includes the Grand Plaza, the Observation Structure and the Main Grandstand; another feature at the track is the Austin360 Amphitheater, with concert seating for 14,000.
The 2014 COTA schedule begins with the Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas MotoGP event, taking place April 11th through 13th. The first Summer XGames at COTA takes place June 5th through 8th, and the inaugural TUDOR United Sports Car Challenge race takes place September 20th. The third United States Grand Prix takes place October 31st through November 2nd.
The Austin 360 Amphitheater will host Redfest, a three-day festival featuring some of the best in country music, comedy, reality TV and more; the festival will take place May 23rd through 25th.
