The 2014 NCAA basketball live stream and TV schedule continues tonight as the No. 1 team in the country, the Syracuse Orangemen put their perfect record on the line when they travel to the Steel City to take on the Pittsburgh Panthers. The No. 25 Pitt Panthers are tough as nails, especially when they play in front of the hometown folks.
According to a Sportsline report on Feb. 12, the Panthers are 20-4, (8-3 in the conference) and could claw withing 2 games of the 'Cuse in the ACC Standigs with a win tonight.
The Petersen Events Center will definitely have a NCAA playoff feel to it. Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim knows his team will be facing their toughest challenge yet.
''Every game we have in this league is difficult,'' Boeheim said. ''We've been in tough games. We know it will be tough. We like to run, but people are going to do what they've been doing. We can't force tempo if someone wants to do this (slow the pace).''
The Orangemen know not only will they be facing their toughest road opponent, but they may be a bit short handed as well.
Backup center Baye Moussa Keita suffered a right knee injury late in the first half in Syracuse's last game vs. Clemson and will be a game time decision tonight vs. Pittsburgh. The good new is cnycentral.com reported that Keita made the trip to Pittsburgh with the team, which means he must be feeling better.
These two teams met up back on Jan. 18 in Syracuse, a game that the Orangemen squeaked out 59-54.
Vegas odds makers have Pittsburgh as a 2 point favorite, with the over/under number at 124.5. You can catch all the exciting action for the big ACC match-up on ESPN or streaming live at Watch ESPN beginning at 7:30 p.m. EST.
