Erica Enders-Stevens won Saturday’s K&N Horsepower Challenge for the Pro Stock class, defeating her former crew chief Dave Connolly in the final round of the race-within-a-race at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The event is part of this weekend’s NHRA Nationals.

Enders-Stevens, the No. 3 seed for the event, earned early wins against V. Gaines and Jeg Coughlin Jr. to reach the finals against Connolly. She takes home a check for $50,000 for her victory.

“We've had a great hot rod all year and it really came together for us two weeks ago in Gainesville,” said Enders-Stevens. “We set the national record but lost in the final round on a holeshot, so it was great to give something back to my guys.”

Antron Brown took the No. 1 spot on the Top Fuel ladder with his pass of 3.768 seconds at 325.14 mph, followed by Doug Kalitta, Steve Torrence, Spencer Massey and Tony Schumacher. Courtney Force earned her first No. 1 of the season in Funny Car with a fast pass of 4.006 seconds at 325.37 mph; John Force, Tommy Johnson Jr., Del Worsham and Matt Hagan round out the top five in qualifying. Coughlin Jr. took the top spot in Pro Stock with a pass of 6.625 seconds at 209.17 mph, ahead of Chris McGaha, Enders-Stevens, Connolly and Jason Line.

Final eliminations for the NHRA Nationals begin Sunday at 11 a.m. PT. Keep up with the action at
