The 2014 Stanley Cup live stream and TV coverage continues tonight from the Staples Center when the LA Kings and New York Rangers get ready to battle it out in Game 5 of their best-of-seven series. With the Rangers on the brink of elimination, New York kept their hopes alive in Game 4 by defeating the Kings 2-1 Wednesday night in Madison Square Garden. Now the question is can New York continue their impossible climb out of a 0-3 hole in tonight's Game 5 NHL live streaming action and force a Game 6 back in New York on Monday?

According to a Sportsline report on June 13, Mike Richards and the Kings have already put Game 4 behind them which is something they have to do if they want to hoist the Stanley Cup tonight. LA is trying to win their second championship in three years and they would love to win it in front of the home crowd.

''It's not going to be easy, but confidence is there,'' Richards said. ''If we play well, we think that we can have success. You don't make it to this point of the season without having confidence in your team.''

The Rangers have other ideas. They know they are now officially a huge underdog. Yet, just by winning Game 4 they can really get in the Kings' head if they win tonight. New York has nothing to lose - after all when you are down 0-3 in a best-of-seven series you never come back, right?

Well, if New York wins tonight and cuts it to a 3-2 deficit, you can bet MSG will be rocking in Game 6. Las Vegas odds makers have the Kings listed at -175 in tonight's Game 5 with the over/under total post at 5.

Hockey fans can catch all the live action on NBC nationally and streaming live online through your PC, smart phones and tablets through NBC Sports Extra. The action is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. ET. Is tonight the night for the Kings to add another Stanley Cup to their resume, or will the Rangers force a Game 6 Monday evening?
