The 4th annual Space Coast Music Festival will be held in downtown Cocoa Beach on September 18-21. The event is a fundraiser to promote and enable music programs in local elementary schools.

Organizer Sue Luley says, “Our goal is to purchase $10,000 in new instruments for each school, so the children can have hands on musical experiences in their classroom. Mila Elementary is a Title I school and many of the children in this school are on subsidized lunch and have special needs. Mila Elementary has minimal instruments in their music program. The music teacher receives a minimal budget of .50 cents per student per year for music instruments & supplies." Mila Elementary School's music program and after-school guitar program at Cocoa Beach Jr/Sr High are the beneficiaries of the 2014 event.
